The Gemeinnützige Umwelthaus GmbH takes data protection very seriously and strictly observes the regulations of the data protection laws (including BDSG [Federal Data Protection Act], TMG [Telecommunications Media Act]).
The responsible party within the meaning of the data protection laws is the Gemeinnützige Umwelthaus GmbH, Rüsselsheimer Straße 100, 65451 Kelsterbach, represented by Günter Lanz (Managing Director).
You can generally use our website without providing any personal data. Insofar as personal data is collected on our sites, this is always on a voluntary basis. Such data is never passed on to third parties. Exceptions to this apply only in the case of legal obligation or if you have expressly consented to your data being passed on.
1. Storage of access data
Every time a user accesses the websites of the Gemeinnützige Umwelthaus GmbH and every time a file is downloaded, access data for this process is stored in a log file on the server of our provider. Each data set contains:
– the site from which the file was requested
– the file name
– the date and time of the request
– the amount of data transferred
– the access status (file transferred, file not found etc.)
– the results of the web browser type query
– the dynamic IP address
This data is collected anonymously and cannot be technically linked with individual persons. This data is not brought together with other data sources. After statistical evaluation the data is deleted and not kept as an individual data set.
2. Services requiring registration
Should you wish to use services offered on our website, we may require additional information from you in order to provide these services and for billing purposes. This includes in particular name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number etc. Such data is provided by you on an expressly voluntary basis. When you submit your data you are declaring your consent that we contact you accordingly for the respective purpose by e-mail, post or telephone. Data shall only be transferred to third parties, e.g. service providers or cooperation partners, insofar as these have been commissioned by us with the fulfilment of the respective tasks. These third parties may not use the data for any other purposes. In addition to this they are obliged to treat the data in accordance with this data protection declaration and the German data protection regulations. There will be no transfer of data to third parties going beyond this.
Please note that payments are made directly through PayPal or your credit card company. The data necessary for this is collected directly from the respective partner so that, in this case, the data protection regulations or the participation conditions and/or the general terms and conditions of business of the respective partner shall apply.
3. Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies in several places. These serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. In addition to this, session-based cookies are used, but are only stored for the duration of the respective session. Cookies are small text files that are filed on your computer and stored in your browser. Most browsers are set in such a way as to accept cookies automatically. You can, however, deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser settings. We expressly draw attention to the fact, however, that in this case you may not be able to fully use all the functions of this website.

In this case, your personal data will be deleted immediately and no longer retained in our data inventory unless there are statutory archiving periods that must be observed. In this case the data will be blocked for any other use.
5. Right to information
You are entitled at all times to information on the nature and extent of the data stored with regard to your person, its origin and recipients, as well as the purpose of storing the data.
6. Other
We hereby draw your attention to the fact that data transmission via the Internet (e.g. when communicating [...] by e-mail) may involve gaps in security. Foolproof protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.
Piwik user analysis
Our website uses Piwik. This is a so-called web analysis service. Piwik uses so-called "cookies"; these are text files which are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze the use of the website. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your abbreviated IP address) is transferred to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which helps us to optimize the website. Your IP address is immediately anonymized in this process, so that you remain anonymous for us as a user. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookie is not passed on to third parties. You can prevent the use of the cookies by a corresponding adjustment of your browser software, but this could result in your not being able to make full use of all functions of this website.
